On Wednesday, actor and LGBT activist Laverne Cox took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that she’s 12 weeks vegan. After running into her Orange Is the New Black (OITNB) costar Ruby Rose at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund show in Los Angeles, she discovered that both she and Rose are vegan. Although she’s only been eating vegan for three months, she says she feels “so much better.”
PETA couldn’t be more thrilled to learn that yet another OITNB cast member has embraced vegan eating, and we applaud Cox for her compassionate decision. To show her some vegan love, we took to Twitter:

Cox is in good company. Rose—who previously called meat “revolting”—was crowned one of PETA’s sexiest vegan celebrities earlier this year:

A few months ago, Danielle Brooks—who plays Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson alongside Cox and Rose in OITNB—also made the compassionate switch. She took to Twitter to document her vegan journey, and we must admit that her vegan pad Thai looks delicious:
Day 10 of this new Vegan life. I made Vegan Pad Thai. Feeling pretty solid about this thang!! 👍🏾 w/ onions, carrots, tomatos, and shallots 😋 pic.twitter.com/66X8gXraLT

Kimiko Glenn—yet another OITNB cast member—is no stranger to minimizing animal suffering, either. Earlier this year, she proved that she’s just as much an activist as her character on the show, Brook Soso, by starring in a PETA ad, reminding folks never to leave animals inside hot parked cars:
Perhaps the actors could form a vegan club at Litchfield Penitentiary.
